Paragraph for Scholarships

Paragraph for Scholarships
I’m going start off by saying this story involves a setback in my life but, with an opportunity towards the end of the story. It all started two years ago. When I turned 16 I always procrastinated filling any of my job applications that I had gotten. I would pull up excuses like, oh I’ll fill it out tomorrow, I lost it, or I have basketball all the time that would interfere with my work schedule. Needless to say I was a lazy kid for a while.
Well my mom took the initiative for me and started talking to some of her customers (She’s a beautician). Within a couple of weeks after my 10th grade baseball season my mom had gotten me a job at Hawkeye Ford. I washed cars and a bunch of different things for example, picking up cars, delivering cars, go get parts, and working with the body shop. It was one of the most informational things I could have done there. I kept that job Intel I had to quit to devote my time to baseball my 11th grade year.
After baseball was over I got back into being a lazy kid once again. A few months later I started applying for jobs. I would do one every day Intel I got a job. A few weeks later the office made an announcement that Taco Bell was hiring. I went straight there after school got out. I got an app and filled it out that night. I turned it in the next day after school. I handed it to the boss and before he had any time to look at it, he told me he was going to give me an interview the next day.
I had the interview and I hit off really good with the boss. At the end of the interview he said I just wasn't what they were looking for. I was confused because I thought it was a great interview. He waited a second so I could contemplate what just happened then said “Ahh I’m just messing around Cade, When do you want to start working?” I was so confused at this point I had to ask if he was being serious. I shook his hand a ton of times I was so happy. I said to him “You just made my whole year, my mom’s going to be so happy! Thank you for this opportunity I won’t disappoint you”

Finally I had a job and money to spend. I still have that job to this day. The crew members are awesome and my bosses were the best.
